A few shots from my back garden yesterday (too wet today for anything at all).

The potatoes are coming on a treat and are (almost?) all visible above ground (I can definitely count 19 out of 20 visible, and possible 20 although there are two close together which might just be too-closely-planted or might be the same seed with two separate sprouts, ( Read more... )

After learning about watering in the last few days, I've been trying to take a much more sensitive approach. before I watered anything I checked not just the surface but underneath, and found that even after several days of hot dry weather, everything had damp soil below the surface no matter how bone dry it looked from the top.
